Masters Mechanic - Motorized Doors and Garage Door Opener
All models are UL, C-UL and CSFM listed and are
compliant with the NFPA 80 requirement for a fail-safe
door holder / releasing device. The various models
include common features such as a vibration-resistant
latching mechanism for the fusible link connection,
mounting flexibility and disruption-free testing
capabilities.
Two
adjustable time delays for power loss and
alarm signals form a detector or remote switch to
reduce costly door resetting caused by nuisance or
false alarms.
Testing function
allows routine fire door testing without requiring
activation of the smoke detector or central alarm
system.
Downlimit
detection prevents door release if the door
is already in the closed position. Eliminates door
reset service calls or potential system damage.
Motor voltage
sensing monitors voltage to the operator
and activates a mechanical door release upon loss of
power to the operator.
Form C dry
contact relay output for activation of
notification devices including horns and strobes.
Featuring a built-in battery pack, Model B2 provides the
added functionality of a separate fire alarm panel. It
is designed for installations where power outages are a
regular occurrence or where an existing alarm system is
not available or is unable to support the door release
system.
Includes all the Model B safety features, plus:
72-hour internal
battery backup (with charger) provides
power to the release device as well as up to 4 smoke
detectors to prevent door release during long power
outages.
Two SPDT dry
contact relay outputs for both delayed and
non-delayed activation of devices such as horns and
strobes.
Two smoke
detector loops (one normally closed and the
other normally open)
12 VDC alarm
ouput for an optional voice annunciation
module
On-board
diagnostics allow monitoring of battery
charging circuit and alarm inputs
Possessing the same features as the Model B2, the B2
Master can function as a "master" unit, operating up to
three Model RR remote release "slave" devices. This
combination of devices is designed as a cost-efficient
means to address multiple door installations in close
proximity, where closures can occur from a common alarm
signal. The B2 Master door garage master mechanic opener and RR remote release devices are
connected via a common "daisy-chain" wiring method,
which reduces installation time and cost. The 72-hour
battery backup feature of the B2 Master, the Model RR
devices are fail-safe devices, as they are part of the
fusible link assembly.
The "smart" system, door garage master
mechanic opener Model C has many intelligent
features that work in conjunction with a required safety
edge system to ensure the door closes and stays fully
closed after a pre-determined time period.
Includes all Model B2 safety features, plus:
Obstruction
cycling works with the door´s safety edge
system to reverse the door if obstructed on the way
down. It will attempt closure up to 10 times
(factory default is 3 cycles) before activating the
door´s mechanical release mechanism.
Remote Test
Station (optional) - disables the cycle
counter to allow testing of a door without a
mechanical release after the selected number of
cycles.
Emergency exit
feature allows door control features to
function as usual if an obstruction is not
encountered upon closure, allowing the door to
operate as an emergency egress exit with pressure on
the "open" button of the control station.
Safety timer
automatically deactivates the motor and initiates a
mechanical release if door does not close within a
pre-determined time period.
Similar to Model C, this device works in conjunction
with a required safety edge system to sense an
obstruction during door closure. However, Model C+
allows the option of not initiating a gravity drop upon
completion of the obstruction cycling. Instead the door
is powered down by the operator and comes to rest upon
the obstruction until the alarm is cleared.

safety features, plus:
Stop-on
obstruction cycling will attempt door
closure up to 10 times (factory default is 3 cycles)
before allowing the door to rest upon an
obstruction. Once the alarm is cleared, the door
will reopen and reset automatically.
